Tuesday Thoughts: Why Settle For Just Happiness?
“Joy is prayer; joy is strength; joy is love; joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls.”
–Mother Teresa
As today is Christmas Eve, and being with family and friends is far more important than hanging out with me on your screen device, this will be a short post.
It’s Christmas–the season for decorations, parties, songs, pageants, and gifts. All of that brings most of us happiness. Some folks, unfortunately, are in a season of pain, not happiness. Maybe […]

• Democracy. It survived … […]
Tuesday Thoughts: It Ain’t Over ’til It’s Over … and It’s Over!
“The vote is precious. It is almost sacred. It is the most powerful nonviolent tool we have in a democracy.”
–the late U.S. Rep. John Lewis
We all survived Election Day. Hurray!
A few thoughts regarding the election. Please DON’T stop reading–I’m saying nothing about the individual candidates’ personalities or policies. There’s plenty of that in your news medium of choice.
First, a personal reflection. I voted on Election Day, in the rain, at a local elementary school. I dreaded the walk to the […]
